  1. Wow....what a quick way to get a dip on the go under 5 minutes and it was tasty. I used a can of Heinz baked beans with maple. I added the salsa Verde and simmered for a few minutes. I then put it through a sieve to remove some liquid. Then added the cheese ""used cheddar" and mixed in some chopped green olives. Delicious and easy. This would be great to make when out camping. Just heat can of beans and add the rest of the ingredients and wala! Perfect and easy. Thank you for posting Rita and I will make again. Made for Photo Tag Forum Game.

  2. My dinner guests commented that this was quite good and took some home for themselves. I used fat-free refried beans. Salsa verde is slightly sweet, so I'm not even sure you need the syrup, but I don't really care for maple anyways. I thought the salsa was too much at first, but I kept mixing and it came together.

  3. This is so unusual and so very good! I've never had even salsa verde before so wasn't sure what to expect but the result was terrific served with nachos along with the usual picante type salsa. If I were to serve this just with chips I'd reduce the maple syrup a bit and add some more heat, my salsa verde was not hot at all. I used black beans since the kind of beans wasn't specified and I think that worked really well. One tip - the salsa verde I used was a bit watery. I'll drain it a bit next time. Thanks Rita L for a great alternative to the same old dips, one I'll make again!
