Sweet Turkey Meatloaf

"I make my meatloaves different every time, usually just going with what I have in the house. Must be why this is my THIRD meatloaf recipe! This one is definitely a keeper, though. I'll be making it just this way more often."

  1. This is YUMMY! I used gluten free bread crumbs and sautéed green pepper, onion and garlic in EVOO and added to mix. Thanks for sharing!!!

  2. This was the best turkey meatloaf I have made so far, and with so few ingredients, too! I used Panko breadcrumbs, and I used 3 1/2 Tablespoons ketchup on the top, at the end. I cut my onion a bit too large, but oh well. Mine only took 1 hour and 5 minutes to cook in a 9x5 loaf pan. I served it with veggies and chipotle cheddar biscuits. I'm definitely keeping this recipe. Thanks!

  3. This is delicious, and doesn't taste at all sweet to me. Maybe my loaf was thinner because of the size of my pan, but I didn't have to cook it this long. Really flavorful and even better leftover! I served with garlicky potatoes, black-eyed peas and rolls.

  4. A fantastic meatloaf. I actually doubled the recipe, and the 4 of us devoured it. The flavoring was excellent, and flavorful. Spouse thought that there might of been too much brown sugar, but she had a second helping. The kids and I LOVED it, and I wont change a thing on this recipe. hanks for a great recipe.

  5. This is hands-down the BEST meatloaf I have ever had in my life. And I'm from the Midwest so that is saying a lot!! Thank you for sharing!

I am a 21 year old homemaker (and soon to be mommy!) from the Florida Panhandle. I love to cook and try new things. I never got all the cooking wisdom from my mother that many other people have, so I've had to teach myself over the last couple years. I have to admit, though, it's been lots of fun with it's good share of hard work. Thank goodness my husband is so forgiving! DH and I have been married for almost two years now, and I just love him to pieces. We are having our first baby in March, so then I can cook for him, too! Well, as soon as he's ready. :) I am pretty young, and I am just now experiencing being invited to events and being asked to bring a dish. It's very exciting to me, and makes cooking all the more fun. Also, I am always hearing from DH, "These mashed potatoes are good," or whatever it is I am making, "but they aren't quite like my mom's." So, I am hoping that one day he will be saying to other people, "These mashed potatoes aren't as good as my wife's!" ha ha. Here's hoping! <img src="http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/IWasAdoptedfall08.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket">
