Ingredients Nutrition

  • 1 pie crust, for 9-inch pie
  • 12 lb switzerland swiss cheese, grated
  • 1 tablespoon flour
  • 1 cup milk or 1 cup cream
  • 3 eggs, well beaten
  • salt and pepper

Directions

  1. Line pie dish with pastry. Dredge cheese with flour. Distribute cheese evenly in pie dish. Beat eggs well; mix with milk. Season lightly and pour over cheese.
  2. Bake 15 minutes in hot oven (400 degrees), then reduce to 300-325 degrees and bake an additional 30 minutes or until knife inserted in center of pie comes out clean. Serve hot or warmed over.
