  1. Wash rice in water to remove all or most of the starch.
  2. in a medium pot put some oil in bottom of pot and heat under medium high.
  3. put 1/4 lbd of dry egg noodles in pot and mix constantly.
  4. add salt to water and add to pot as soon as noodles change color from yellow to light tan.
  5. bring to boil while stiring noodles into rice. when you can see noodle mixture through rice, cover pot and reduce heat to very low. rice will be ready in 20-30 minutes.
