Hi, is this the green sauce that used to be in the Spicy Green Burritos, or in the packets of Verde? My two favorite Taco Bell items were both discontinued: spicy green burrito with extra onions and cheese, and the double decker taco supreme. It would be awesome to be able to make one of them at home. Thanks.

Wow! What a find! I was looking for a copycat Taco Bell Fire Sauce clone and ran across this gem. Taco Bell green sauce isn't even available in my area so I was intrigued. I love it! It's not hot in your face like the TB Fire Sauce but it has a lovely fresh taste. I'm sure the Taco Bell sauce suffers in quality a bit in those little mass produced plastic packets but this recipe prepared fresh is just as good as any.

Fantastic! My mind is racing thinking of all the ways I want to use this delicious sauce. I always liked Taco Bell's verde sauce, but, this is even better. I bought 5 lbs. of tomatillos at the farmer's market. I think I'll make a triple batch of this sauce and try freezing it. Thanks for sharing this delicious recipe.
