ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 (14 1/2 ounce) can stewed tomatoes
  • 1 (1 1/4 ounce) package taco seasoning
  • 34 cup water
  • 1 (16 ounce) can pork and beans
  • corn chips
  • toppings

  • shredded lettuce, chopped tomatoes, chopped onions, sliced ripe olives, shredded cheddar cheese, taco sauce

directions

  • in a skillet, cook beef over medium heat until no longer pink.
  • drain.
  • add the tomatoes, taco seasoning and water.
  • mix well.
  • add pork and beans.
  • bring to a boil.
  • reduce heat.
  • cover and simmer for 15 minutes.
  • to serve, place corn chips in four soup bowls.
  • top with beef mixture and toppings of your choice.

  1. This is very good in a dash! I substituted a large can of pinto beans instead of pork and beans and added a 4 oz can of chopped green chilies to the added ingredients to the meat.
     
  2. This was so good! It was a very easy to follow recipe and my husband and I loved it. It will become a regular dish in our house! I added some red pepper flakes to spice it up and I also browned the beef with some diced onions.
