Ingredients: 1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste; 3 cups water; 2 teaspoons cayenne pepper; 1 1/2 tablespoons chili powder; 2 1/2 teaspoons salt; 2 teaspoons cornstarch; 2 teaspoons white vinegar; 1 tablespoon minced white onion; 2 tablespoons jarred canned jalapeno slices, diced; 1/2 tablespoon jalapeno juice (from the jar, to taste)

ingredients

1 (6 ounce) can tomato paste
3 cups water
2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
1 ¹⁄₂ tablespoons chili powder
2 ¹⁄₂ teaspoons salt
2 teaspoons cornstarch
2 teaspoons white vinegar
1 tablespoon minced white onion
2 tablespoons jarred canned jalapeno slices, diced
¹⁄₂ tablespoon jalapeno juice (from the jar, to taste)

directions

Combine the tomato paste with the water in large non-reactive pot.
stir until smooth.
Add cayenne, chilli powder, salt, corn starch, and vinegar.
Bring to a hard boil, stirring often. Boil for 3-5 minutes. remove from heat. Cool then refrigerate
(if desired use sterile jars, rings and lids for hot water canning method for 20 minutes to make shelf stable. Once jars are opened be sure to refrigerate!).
