- 3⁄4 cup lentils
- 3⁄4 cup brown rice
- 4 teaspoons bouillon
- 2 teaspoons chili powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1⁄4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 4 cups water
directions
- In a large saucepan, bring water to a boil and add all dry ingredients. Return to boil. Reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 50 minutes. Water should be absorbed and lentils tender. Serve alone as a slop or use as taco filling.
- Alternately, dump everything in a crockpot and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours.
