  • Cook meat and onion in large skillet till meat is lightly browned and vegetables are tender. Stir in tomato sauce, corn, olives, garlic, sugar, salt, chili power, and pepper. Simmer 20 minutes or until thick. Add cheese, stir until melted. Turn into greased 9X13X2 inch baking dish. Make jiffy corn muffin mix according to directions on package (which includes the egg and milk). Spoon over mixture in baking dish. Bake in 375 degree oven for about 40 minutes.

  1. Super dinner that the whole family enjoyed. Easy to make with items that i already had in the house (except I used the Marie Callendars' corn bread mix). Kids are already requesting that I make again.
     
  2. tasted just like the stuff Ma made us when we were little...it was bcause of recipes like this that we thought Ma was an awful cook...guess it wasnt her after all...it was the recipe!
