  1. Soak tapioca in 1 cup of the milk overnight in fridge.
  2. Add remaining milk and cook, stirring occasionally, in top of double boiler about 3 hours over medium low heat. Take off of heat.
  3. Beat egg yolks, sugar and vanilla together and add to tapioca and blend.
  4. Beat egg whites until stiff.
  5. Line a greased baking dish 9 x 9 with a layer of tapioca, egg white and repeat layer of tapioca and egg white.
  6. Bake in preheated oven of 325F for 15 minutes.
