Tartar Sauce

"My Mother got this recipe from a restaurant in town that has been closed now for years. I make it each year when our church has a fish fry; that is, if I get to go, the last two I have missed. I normally make about a quart of it and, with about 25 people, there is never a drop left. If there should be some left someone always asks me for the leftovers."

  • Mix all the ingredients together.
  • Refrigerate.
  • Serve with your favorite seafood.
  • Truth be told on this recipe, I never measure a thing. I fix it by taste; some like more hot sauce and some like less.

  1. I made a reduced amount of your tarter sauce to serve with fish sandwiches. The addition of the hot sauce jazzed up the sandwich and I enjoyed the green peepers instead of the normal pickles in most tarter sauces. I did use mayo to replace the miracle whip so added a bit of seasoned salt. Thanks Jac!

  2. I liked the addition of the chopped green pepper and the hot sauce. A little different take on tartar sauce! Thank you! I didn't get a photo, it went too fast!
