"Easy!! Goes well as a side dish. Try using splenda in place of the sugar! Found this in a school cookbook while in Nurenburg, Germany."

  1. This is the way my Nana always made fried apples and its the way I make them now except I do add a dash of cinnamon and neither of us ever used a lid. These are so easy and so delicious. The way i'll always make fried apples. Thanks for posting!

  2. Delicious!! I added a dash of salt and some cinnamon. Other than that it's just like my mom always makes...YUM!! I love eating them with pork chops. Now that's comfort food! Thanks for sharing!!

  3. I've been enjoying this since childhood. It's so simple and sooo good. I don't often use a lid on the skillet but otherwise it's the same delicious treat I make.

Cooking is what I do. I love looking for new recipes. I have three daughters, the last one left for college this year. Being a military family gives us the opportunity to try a variety of cuisine's from all over the world. I learned to cook from watching my father while I was growing up and have loved cooking as long as I can remember. A big thank you to everyone for this wonderful site.
