“Took some ideas from various guacamole recipes and added my own. This is a quick and easy recipe -- I make it all the time! It's best made with fresh lime juice. You can also mix in chopped fresh cilantro, a couple of drops of hot sauce or a bit of chopped serranos according to your taste. Just serve with tortilla chips and you're ready to go!”

Ingredients Nutrition

  • 2 ripe avocados, peeled and pitted
  • 2 tablespoons lime juice (or use the juice of one fresh lime)
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 12 fresh tomato, chopped
  • 1 tablespoon finely chopped onion (or use 1 tsp. dried mined onion)
  • 12 teaspoon cumin
  • salt (to taste)

Directions

  1. Using a fork, coarsely mash avocado with lime juice and garlic.
  2. Stir in tomato, onion and cumin and mix well.
  3. Add salt to taste.
  4. Refrigerate at least an hour before serving.
