Tee's Amazing Sweet Potato Pie
"This is the dish that my stepmother made for all holidays. She usually needed to make 4x's the amount needed, since they disappeared so fast!! Mostly saving this recipe in a safe place...

ingredients
- 2 pie shells
- 3 (40 ounce) cans sweet potatoes
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1⁄2 teaspoon lemon juice
- 1⁄4 cup Pet milk
- 1⁄2 cup butter, melted
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons vanilla
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
directions
- Drain potatoes.
- Place in bowl with other ingredients and mash well.
- smooth 1/2 of mix into each pie shell.
- cut pads of margarine or butter and place around top of pies.
- sprinkle sugar and cinnamon on pie.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1.5 hours.
