Directions

  1. Make the sauce: in a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat; add in onion; stir/saute onion until soft but not brown.
  2. Add in ground beef and spices; mix well; add enough water to just cover mixture.
  3. Simmer mixture over low heat, stirring occasionally until meat is cooked and sauce is thickened, about 30 minutes.
  4. To serve—place hot dogs in buns and top with Texas Hot Sauce, mustard, and onion; serve immediately.
