Texas Style Corn Bread

"This is another recipe clipping that Mom collected. I am sure there is one here on Zaar, but I just want to put it here for safe keeping. These are all cut out of magazines and I have no idea which magazine or paper they came from. Some are even newspaper clippings. This recipe was submitted by Ada Murrah of Muleshoe"

  • Mix all ingredients except chiles and cheese.
  • Pour half batter into a 9 X 9 pan.
  • Make a layer with half the chiles, sprinkle with haf.
  • lf the cheese.
  • Add remaining batter and top with remaining chiles and add remaining cheese.
  • Bake for 45 min at 400* or until firm and golden brown.
