- 4 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 1⁄2 cups unsalted butter (melted)
- 2 cups brown sugar (firmly packed)
- 1 cup white sugar
- 2 tablespoons vanilla extract
- 3 eggs
- 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
directions
- Preheat oven to 325°F.
- Cream softened butter and both the brown and white sugar until well blended, then beat in the vanilla and eggs.
- Sift flour, baking soda, and salt in one bowl and then mix this to the wet ingredients.
- Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
- Drop about 1/4 of a cup of dough onto greased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart.
- Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes or until they start to look brown at the bottom, then let them sit for a few minutes before switching them to a wire rack to cool.
