The Best Big Chocolate Chip Cookies

"I'm not a great baker, but these come out excellent every time! They're crunchy at the edges but soft in the middle. This recipe makes a LOT of pretty big cookies which is great if you're making them to give away, but you might want to cut it down otherwise."

  • Preheat oven to 325°F.
  • Cream softened butter and both the brown and white sugar until well blended, then beat in the vanilla and eggs.
  • Sift flour, baking soda, and salt in one bowl and then mix this to the wet ingredients.
  • Stir in the chocolate chips by hand.
  • Drop about 1/4 of a cup of dough onto greased cookie sheets about 3 inches apart.
  • Bake for about 15 to 18 minutes or until they start to look brown at the bottom, then let them sit for a few minutes before switching them to a wire rack to cool.
