  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. In a seperate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cream of tartar, and salt. Set aside.
  3. Cream butter and sugar.
  4. Add yolks and vanilla, mix well.
  5. A little at a time, add the flour mixture and mix well.
  6. Roll into balls.
  7. Roll the cookie dough balls in the rolling sugar.
  8. Bake for 8 minutes.
  9. For a fun twist, you can tint your rolling sugar with food coloring or you can use store bought sprinkles to decorate the cookies.
