The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

"I've been eating these cookies for as long as I can remember. When fresh, they are slightly chewy and soft, so to preserve the freshness, store in an airtight container-if they don't all get stolen off the cooling rack!"

  1. This is a wonderful cookie recipe! I did make 5 more cookies more than the recipe required it did not affect the taste. The last 2 cookies were I feel the recommended size. I can see why the cookie came out with less browning around the edges and is slightly thicker and gives a beautiful presentation. The taste is soft and chewy in the center and ever so lightly crispy around the edges. Now I have more time because the beauty of this recipe is that you only make 12! I will enjoy making this recipe for any occasion especially as it is so quick the biggest problem with making this cookie is the waiting 8 minutes for them to bake. I'm sure I will have it memorized soon, thanks Miranda Rose for posting.
