The Easiest Perfect Roast Beef

- 4 lbs roast, I had a boneless inside round
- 3 tablespoons garlic powder
- 3 tablespoons onion powder
- 2 tablespoons salt
- 2 tablespoons black pepper
- 1 tablespoon steak spice
- 2 tablespoons oil, I used extra virgin olive oil
directions
- Set roast out and allow to come to room temp,about an hour.
- Preheat oven 275 (low temp).
- Combine spices in a bowl.
- Rub spices all over the roast.
- Heat skillet on med/high heat and oil.
- Brown meat on all sides.
- Place roast on rack or vegetables in baking dish.
- Place in oven and turn heat down to 225-250 (depending your oven).
- When internal temp reaches 130, or close to it for more rare results, remove from oven and tent with tinfoil for 15 minutes before carving.
- My roast was perfectly cooked in about 7 hours.
- When using a meat slicer, it makes for perfect sandwiches.

<p>I post what I cook. It's an eclectic, and hopefully simple collection of recipes. I'd love to post most of what I cook, but frankly I'm not good at the measurements and I tend to be a 'add a dash of this and that' kinda cook. As a result, I can be a little lazy in posting recipes. I strive to make large meals that don't cost a lot, I've got 4 kids. Yes they eat what I post :) My main goal these days is to get the most out of what we pay for groceries...with 5 large eaters me, we're on a 'below low income level' budget, it's important to buy cheap and cook around the ingredients.
