The Gobsmacked Leaning Tower of Buffalo Burger

"This burger was created by Team Gobsmacked for Zaar World Tour III. We wanted to call it Tequila-ed, yummy, rocking, boob-growing, goooooood, balanced, coloured, flavoured, complete, oniony good, juicy, GOBSMACKED Leaning Tower of Buffalo Southwester Burger, but there are only so many characters you can fit on a ZWT team...er I mean a recipe title. We put our addled heads together and came up with an astounding Buffalo burger that will knock your socks off. We used Out of Recipe #20601 for the bread. We also used Recipe #230486 for the salsa. Finally we used Recipe #230657 in place of spicy mayonnaise. It is WELL WORTH the time to make the extras for this unique burger, and if you don't, Team Gobsmacked may just show up at your door to demand justice!"

  1. These were great! We love bison and are always looking for new ideas to make burgers too! I especially liked the avocado and roasted red peppers. Too good! Watch out, these are messy (just like a good burger should be!)!!

  2. Much enjoyed! I made using lamb, forgot to add the cheese (roll of the eyes) and used a standard hamburger bun but otherwise made the extras which were all very worthwhile. The lamb / red onion / cumin mix was a really great simple way to make a flavorsome burger and everything else worked together terrifically.

  3. Wonderful burger!! A hit on the ranch, but they took a long time to make! I did not make bread...it was just too hot, however, I do plan to go back and make the bread sometime, it sounds wonderful! The overall marks for the burger were excellent, it was very messy, we all thought a little less cilantro would have been our preference....but that is personal choice. Loved the sauce/ salsa / etc. My favorite thing was the avocado and we did double the cheese. Everyone loves melted Jack here. Thank you ladies for posting a very full meal! Cheers! ZWT3

  4. I had 1 pound ground buffalo in the freezer and elected to make both of the burgers using buffalo submitted by the Tour teams. It was great fun to compare the flavors in the two burgers. I loved this recipe for several reasons. The toppings were messy, but so good. I used a purchased black bean & corn salsa and a chipolte mayo. I loved using thin slices of avacado & the roasted red peppers. Overall this was a great burger and effort by your team. Thank you for sharing your recipe! I made recipe #44436 for the buns. Reviewed for ZWT3.

<p>I am a step-mother of one 12 year old boy who will be a teen this summer (07). My family lives in the town my DH and I were born in, population 5000. By day I work in customer service, but in my spare time I am a chef, artist and photographer. Well... I play at those things, anyway. To date my DH and I have lost 75lbs combined on Weight Watchers, so I have joined to pick up some new low fat recipes to add to my collection. My biggest love in life, aside from my human family, are my dogs. I work for a dog rescue org. and love every minute of it. <br /> <br />We adopted Angel from the local Humane Society. Her mom was rescued from an abusive owner while pregnant with Angel's litter. She is a terrier mix and is wild as they come. She is easily the happiest dog I have ever met. She's smart, too. She loves to steal Gizmo's toys and hide them from him. <br /><img src=http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa178/alkite/100_0112.jpg alt= /> <br /> <br />Gizmo was rescued from a breeder by our neighbor's kids. They discovered that Basenjis are a handful, however, and when their work schedules were increased they needed to find him a new home. We have fallen in love with him, in all his haughty ways. He has a great sense of humor and is the oddest dog I have ever owned. <br /> <br /><img src=http://i202.photobucket.com/albums/aa178/alkite/100_0037.jpg alt= /> <br /> <br />Participation Awards <br /> <br /><img src=http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/200_PACpic.jpg border=0 alt=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket /><img src=http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/projects/pacbanner.jpg border=0 alt=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket /> <br /><img src=http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/Zaar%20World%20Tour%203/ZWT3-Participation.gif alt= width=75% /> <br /><img src=http://i22.photobucket.com/albums/b314/potscrubber/teambanner1.gif alt= /> <br /><img src=http://www.satsleuth.com/cooking/RecipeSwap2.JPG alt= width=50% /><img src=http://i3.photobucket.com/albums/y53/DUCHESS13/cookbookswap.jpg alt= width=50% /> <br /><img src=http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/Adopted1smp.jpg border=0 alt=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket /><img src=http://i23.photobucket.com/albums/b399/susied214/permanent%20collection/smPACp.jpg border=0 alt=Photo Sharing and Video Hosting at Photobucket /></p>
