“Chili the way it should be. It took me some time to get it the way I like it. It is not your typical hamburger based chili, but uses stew beef. Serve with some warmed up flour tortillas folded up.”

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. On high heat sautee onions until just turning brown in a dutch oven or heavy pot.
  2. Add and brown the meat.
  3. Throw in the chilis and garlic and cook over medium heat for a few minutes.
  4. Add crushed tomatoes and all the spices bring to a simmer.
  5. Simmer for several hours, or until the beef begins to fall apart.
  6. 30 minutes before serving add beans.
  7. Sprinkle with cheese and serve with a warm flour tortilla or sprinkle with crushed corn chips.
  8. If your chili is too spicy add a dollop of sour cream.
