  1. preheat oven to 375.
  2. mix butter, sugar, and brown sugar together untill creamy.
  3. mix in eggs and vanilla.
  4. add flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. stir in chocolate chips.
  6. spoon on lightly greased cookie sheet.
  7. bake 9 - 10 minutes; let stand on cookie sheet 3 minutes before placing on cooling rack.
  8. I recommend letting the cookie sheet cool in between batches. you can speed up the pan cooling process by running it under cool water or placing it in the freezer for a few minutes.
