- 1⁄2 lb ground beef
- 1⁄2 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon fresh coarse ground black pepper
directions
- 1. Prepare grill for medium-high (350 to 400 degrees) DIRECT heat.
- 2. Using hands, gently combine beef, salt, and pepper. Shape into 2 (4-inch-wide) patties. Using thumb and forefinger, lightly press middle of patties, creating an indentation in center of patties. Let stand at room temperature 30 minutes.
- 3. Grill, covered with grill lid, to desired degree of doneness. (See chart at right for times.) Remove from grill, and let stand 5 minutes before serving.
