- 3 apples, peeled and sliced
- 3 pears, peeled and sliced
- 1⁄4 cup white sugar
- 3⁄4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 2 tablespoons cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
- 1⁄2 cup butter, semi-melted
directions
- Preheat oven to 375.
- In large bowl, toss together peeled and sliced apples and pears with white sugar and 1 tbsp cinnamon.
- In separate bowl combine all remaining ingredients.
- Spray 9x13 baking pan with cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Pour half of the apple/pear mixture into baking pan.
- Sprinkle 1/3 of the crumble mixture on top of the apples and pears.
- Layer remaining apples and pears on top and add the rest of the crumble mixture. (I like to sprinkle the top with a little extra brown sugar and cinnamon for extra flavour -- not that it needs it!).
- Bake in oven, uncovered, for 40-50 minutes.
- Cool and serve solo or with vanilla ice cream!
