Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Preheat oven to 180*C, 350*F.
  2. Lightly grease a regular 12 hold muffin tin.
  3. Put half the chocolate and all the butter in a bowl over a pan of simmer water.
  4. Stir occasionally until melted, then mix until smooth.
  5. Set aside to cool slightly.
  6. In a large bowl, sift together the flour, baking powder and cocoa, then stir in the sugar.
  7. In a separate bowl, whisk the milk and eggs together.
  8. Add to the dry ingredients along with the melted chocolate.
  9. Mix to combine.
  10. Put a spoon ful of the mixture into the base of each muffin hole and top with a Mars bar slice.
  11. Top with the remaining mixture to three quarters full and bake for 18 to 20 minutes, or until risen and cooked through.
  12. Remove and cool on a wire rack.
  13. Put the remaining chocolate in a bowl over a pan of simmer water, until melted.
  14. Cool slightly.
  15. Pile the Mars slices onto the muffins, drizzling with the melted chocolate.
