  1. Just the right amount of spice to make the cookies tasty, interesting, and different, without overwhelming the sweetness of the chocolate. I'll be making this one again!

  2. These were a huge hit! First of all, they're fun to make, grinding pepper right on top of cookies! The flavor is also unexpected and leaves a lot of people wondering what's in them. It's fun to tell people that the cookies have black pepper & cayenne in them. I really loved these and will make them again! I used Ghiradelli bittersweet chocolate and ancho chile powder.

  3. This is a quick and easy recipe for someone who wants a unique flavored cookie. I've made them a couple of times and switched up the spice amounts to change the taste each time just to be a little different. The only advice I have is to make sure you take them out of the oven after 8 or 9 minutes even if they don't seem done because they will get way too crispy otherwise. Thanks for the recipe!

  4. I dipped the whole cookie in chocolate and so the spicyness was a surpise after your tasted the chocolate. Very nice flavor I liked how it just surpised you.

  5. These were a good, spicy cookie that was easy to make, the pepper leaves a lingering spiciness in your mouth that is great yet doesn't really overpower the texture of the cookie. I baked them for 8 minutes at 375 F. Great warm with a cup of tea or coffee. However, they were definitely not as good the next day cold. They are at their best when they are warm.
