Tomato-Smothered Pork Chops

  • Arrange pork chops (they don't have to be defrosted) in crock pot.
  • Place onion slices on top of pork chops.
  • Pour tomatoes over all.
  • Add salt and pepper.
  • Cover and cook on lowest setting in crock pot for 4-8 hours.
  • To serve, spoon over hot rice.

  1. I've been doing this for years. I chop up a green pepper and put in mine. I also use garlic powder and herb de franc . I put minute rice the last 10-15 mins before serving. Make wonderful pork chops and rice all in one
     
  2. Sorry but this was just OK for us. I followed the recipe as written but we thought the pork didn't have much taste. I did cook it in the oven instead of the crockpot but that shouldn't have made any difference in the flavor. I even let it sit over night in the fridge and heated it up but it still was missing something.
