- 1 1⁄4 cups white sugar
- 2 large eggs
- 1 (11 ounce) can tomato soup
- 3⁄4 cup water
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 3⁄4 cup vegetable shortening
- 3 cups white flour
- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon nutmeg
directions
- preheat oven 350.
- Mix in 2 seperate bowls dry ingredients then wet ingredients. Combine together and mix well.
- Pour batter into desired pans. For 9x11 pan cook 30-35 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean at center. For 2 9inch rounds cook 27-32 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.
- Dust with powdered sugar while still warm. Or chill and then frost with cream cheese frosting,vanilla,buttercream,or carmel frostings.
