  1. Would recommend taking out the Bentonite clay from the recipe due to potential damages to the teeth enamel. The hardness of Bentonite being a composite, is from around 4 to 7 on the Mohs scale where as the tooth enamel is around 2 to 4 on the Mohs scale. So what happens is that the harder substance grinds off the enamel over time with the action of the bristles in the brushing. Use the Bentonite for other functions than toothpaste. This is also an issue in commercial toothpastes which have feldspars or quartz in the recipe which is around 7 on the Mohs scale. Putting the Young Living "Thieves" essential oil in the recipe is highly beneficial. Would not recommend "Birch" which accumulates in the body. Use the YL "Mint" or "Ginger". Having the sea salt and baking soda by itself works just fine. Also consider diluted Hydrogen Peroxide or Magnesium Peroxide in the recipe to bump up oxygen levels.
