  1. This is so great, thanks Chia! And so easy! I have a tub of tamarind paste in my fridge - was thrilled to find another use for it. Made the recipe exactly as written and wouldnt' change a thing! Had to tame down the spice mind you, for kids at the table. Even without the full force heat, it was fab. I could see making this with other proteins as well. Surprisingly my husband loved it, and anything labelled curry, or with coconut is usually a no go for him. I think the tamarind is what makes this. I served this with "Recipe #155037". Delish! (Made for ZWT5, Cooks w/Dirty Faces Team).

  2. Wow Chia, didn't let me down again absolutely gorgeous. I made exactly as stated except tomato, I don't like them, added some red pepper instead, what wonderful flavours but I knew when I read the ingredients this would be good. I served mine over red chili coconut rice absolutely perfect. Ate way too much as I made too much rice so had seconds with the left over sauce. A winner will become a regular. Huge thumbs up:)

  3. Thanks for sharing this recipe Chia we really enjoyed it! I had tuna in my freezer for ages and have been searching for a recipe for it, this has a whole lot of flavors going on but seem to all blend well together, I did make some amount changes, thanks Chia!...Kitten:)

  4. I love this recipe! As did my rather bland-palated and normally spice-fearful roommates... (who ate it all! lol) I modified it: I used 2 cans of tuna packed in water and cooked it in 1 cup of water for 2 min. in kosher salt. Also, instead of tumeric, I used about 1 tbs of a curry powder which already contained: tumeric, cumin, pepper, red chiles, fenugreek, and coriander. When I combined ingredients, I added sliced carrots and pre-boiled, cut potatoes. I also used green onions instead of shallots, no tomatoes, and about 2 tbs chopped cilantro, and an entire can of coconut milk. Also, instead of tamarind paste, I used two tbs of yellow curry powder, added after the coconut milk. SO good. :)

  5. Like EEBRAG could not find black pepper seeds and I substituted 1 tbsp of Grey Poupon mustard ... as I didn't have regular ones either. We loved this! Thank you (again) CHIA ... and EEBRAG, where do I find your FISH HATER'S COOKBOOK?
