  • Heat broiler, arranging rack so that burgers will be about 2 inches from heat.
  • In large bowl, combine turkey, zucchini, cheese, salt, onion powder, basil and pepper.
  • Mix well and form into four flat patties, each about 5 inches.
  • Place burgers on a broiler pan and broil 6 minutes.
  • Carefully flip burgers and continue to broil an additional 6 minutes, or until burgers register 165 degrees on an instant-read thermometer.
  • Toast rolls, if desired.
  • Stack rolls with burgers, lettuce leaves and sliced tomato.
  • Serve warm.

  1. I found this recipe in Family Circle too and tried it recently, and it was very good! Very moist burgers with lots of flavor. I was afraid my husband wouldn't like it because of the zucchini but you couldn't really taste it and it added a nice flavor and moistness. Mine broiled for about 7-8 minutes on each side to be cooked through. I will be making this often because it's healthy and a good way to sneak in veggies! Thanks for posting Lainey!
