- 1 1⁄2 lbs ground turkey
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) can black-eyed peas
- 1 (15 ounce) can kidney beans
- 1 (15 ounce) can mixed beans (for chili)
- 1 cup tomato sauce
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
- 1⁄2 teaspoon cumin
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
directions
- Brown turkey, onions and garlic.
- Drain fat.
- Add beans, spices and tomato sauce.
- Simmer for 1-2 hours.
- Can add veggies as well, such as zucchini.
