Turkey Meatballs
- Ready In:
- 1hr 15mins
- Ingredients:
- 11
- Yields:
-
20 meatballs
- Serves:
- 6-8
ingredients
- 1 lb ground turkey, White Meat only
- 3⁄4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko bread crumbs are best)
- 3 tablespoons milk
- 2 eggs
- 1⁄2 cup pecorino romano cheese, finely shredded
- 1 tablespoon basil
- 1 tablespoon italian seasoning
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon pepper
- olive oil
directions
- Add bread crumbs, Milk and Eggs to mixing bowl and mix well.
- Add Cheese, basil, Italian Seasoning, Onion powder, Salt & Pepper and mix well.
- Add Turkey meat and stir until all ingredients are blended together.
- Make meatballs, about 2" in diameter. (The meatballs will be "wet", but don't add extra breadcrumbs or anything else, they will fry up perfectly.).
- Coat the bottom of large frying pan with olive oil and heat over medium heat.
- Add meatballs to oil and cover with lid. Fry about 5 minutes. Meatballs will most likely "stick" to the bottom of the pan slightly, but use a spatula to turn them over gently. They are ready to turn over when they are golden brown.
- Once you have turned over the meatballs, cover again with lid and fry for another 5 minutes.
- Remove lid and check bottom of the meatball, once they are golden brown all over, add them to your favorite pasta sauce and simmer for about 20-30 minutes.
- Enjoy!

I'm a work from home mom of two, born and raised in NY now living in Chattanooga, TN. I love cooking and reading cookbooks, I'm always looking for new ideas!
Being a true Italian, I have always loved making traditional dishes like Eggplant & Chicken Cutlet Parmigiana with a side of Spaghetti, Manicotti with homemade crepe's (none of those store bought shells for me), Pasta Fagioli and good old Tiramisu!
My goal in life is to open a restaurant or catering business. I have been dabbing in catering friends parties now and then, but to do it full time would be my dream come true!
