Directions

  1. Place one can of cannellini beans in the soup pot with the canned liquid and mash is potato masher or stick blender.
  2. Add the remaining beans, drained, to the pot.
  3. Add all the vegetables, barley, garlic, broth, water, bay leaf, rosemary, sausage, salt and pepper.
  4. Heat to a boil and then reduce heat to simmer. Simmer for 1 hour.
  5. Serve with crusty bread.
