Twinkie Dessert

"I found people asking for this recipe a couple of times in my local newspaper....So I decided to make it and find out what the "BIG" Deal was, and boys was I glad I did. Very moist and the boys got some fruit even if the didn't know it...."

  • Layer the Twinkies in a a 13 X 9 dish placing the cream side up.
  • Slice Bananas on top of Twinkies. Set Aside.
  • Mix in a bowl Vanilla Pudding (use it dry remember) 1 20oz can of crushed pineapple (drained) Mix together well.
  • Fold in 1 12 oz cool whip.
  • Keep refrigerated.

  1. I made 1/2 the recipe and it turned out very well. I did add a little chocolate syrup drizzled over the Cool Whip to make it more like a banana split. I will make this again. Thanks for posting. Made fpr PAC Spring 2010.
     
  2. I am wondering if the 12 oz. of instant vanilla pudding is correct? I tried it and it was a very bland, thick paste. I think if the pudding had only been 6 oz. it might have been better.
