Unbelievable BBQ Sauce

ingredients
- 2 cups catsup
- 1 cup molasses
- 1 - 1 1⁄2 cup brown sugar
- 2 tablespoons of minced garlic
- 2 tablespoons of chopped onions
- 2 tablespoons white wine vinegar
- 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tablespoon black pepper
- 1⁄2 - 1 tablespoon sea salt
- 1⁄2 tablespoon paprika
- 1⁄4 tablespoon cayenne
- 1⁄2 tablespoon liquid smoke
- 1 dash whiskey
directions
- Saute the onions and garlic in white wine vinegar. The onions will be close to clear when they are done. Bring down to a simmer.
- Mix the catsup, brown sugar, Worcestershire, and molasses together and add to the onions and garlic then stir. (read notes).
- Add pepper, sea salt, paprika, cayenne, and "Tony's"; stir.
- Add liquid smoke and add whiskey to taste. (read notes).

NOTES:
- *** If you like your BBQ a little sweet like me, add a little more brown sugar to your mixture. I usually use about 1.5 cups to 2 cups.***.
- *** If you use a whiskey you need to let it sit over night for the more robust flavor.***.

This is truly an unbelievable BBQ sauce, has a nice sweet and sour flavor with a hint of smoked taste. Once I had all the ingredients stirred in (including the whiskey) I brought it to a boil and then simmered covered for 1 hour. Cooled, refrigerated over night and served with Recipe #296743. Made for *Fall 2008 PAC* Thanks!

Well I am from the Gulf Coast Area, I hail from Panama City Beach. You can get some of the best seafood there. Right now I am in the Navy, I have been sailing aorund doing the computer thing for the last six years. I have made five deployments and on my deployments I have tried food from all over the world. I think my favorite dish is from Malta, I had some escargot for lunch one day with garlic bread. I love traveling, I like being able to go to different countries and getting the feel of the culture. Seeing it on television and actually experiencing it are two different things. I really enjoy cooking for my family and for my friends. I just like hanging out with them and having a good time. I like to work out, I am a bit of a gym rat. You have to work out to be able to eat some of the things I've made in the kitchen. I am currently on my fifth deployment, yes, fifth deployment in six years and I believe that my time is about to be up. I am going to finish school and get my bachelors in Computer Science and when I get out I would like to pursue my Masters in C.S. I may be a glutton for punishment but I like a challenge! I really enjoy water sports and going to the beach and of course, shopping! Those are my favorite pass times!
