  1. A fabuolous bread pudding recipe Syd, and honestly one of the best I have tried in a long time! WHY? I think it is the choice of bread, the evaporated milk, apples, vanilla and cinnamon! I did not have challah, well not in name, but I did have a similar type of bread with the same texture and baking method. I made the full amount, and gave half of the bread pudding to an elderly neighbour as a mid-Lent treat! Worth every one of the 5 stars, and another great recipe from one of my favourite chefs! Thanks! Made for the Meat Pies group in the Aus/NZ recipe swap, Syd is a teammie!! FT:-)

  2. A recipe for Yom Kippur?? Shame on you, you should be fasting! (Actually I'm guessing it's for breaking the fast...) Sounds delicious, and I'll try it very soon.

  3. Who cares if I have dairy issues. I made this for my husband and a Carmel sauce. I can't believe I'm eating this and am going to get sick but it's soooooo worth it.

  4. This has got to be the best bread pudding ever! I married this up with a homemade caramel sauce and my family loved it! This is the perfect Hanukkah/Thankgiving dessert. Thanks Syd!
