  1. Wow these rare good!!! I didn't have pecans, so I used walnuts (which we prefer anyway). I agree that the frosting is not needed, andI thought it actually took away from the cookie flavor. Also, next time I will probably add 1/2 tsp. of salt, I think every cookie needs it. Thank you for a great recipe though, this is definately a keeper!!

  2. Wow these are yummy! I was lazy so instead of making cookies I made bars in a 9x13 pan. I had to bake them about 40 minutes and then put the frosting on once they cooled. I omitted the pecans also. Thanks for this great recipe!

  3. I'm one of the co-workers of "Wife2abadge" that loved, loved, loved these just the way they are!

  4. Upgraded to 5 stars as these are craveable! Quite sweet and I still may try them with a lighter frosting, but perhaps not and just enjoy with a tall glass of milk instead. All in all very nice cookie, great maple flavor! Thanks!

  5. My coworkers really loved these cookies! I thought they needed some salt, but otherwise found them yummy. I think I'll leave off the frosting next time because they were great without it and I don't think the frosting really added anything to them.

I live in KCMO, originally from Michigan. I'm an administrative assistant in the Internal Medicine department of a urban hospital. I married my high school sweetheart on Mackinac Island in August '02. Some of my favorite things to do...baking, snow skiing, camping, hiking, reading, and playing cards with my parents on Sunday afternoons. Someday, after we retire or win the lottery, I hope to live on Mackinac Island or in the UP of Michigan, possibly even open a B&B.
