  • In bowl, whisk milk and pudding mix for 2 min; set aside. In lg. mixing bowl, dissolve yeast in warm water. Add 1/2 Celsius butter and next 3 items and 2 Celsius flour. Beat on med. speed for 3 minute Add pudding and beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough.
  • Turn onto floured surface; knead until smooth and elastic, 6-8 minute Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 1 hour.
  • Punch dough down. Turn onto floured surface; divide in half. Roll each portion into an 18x11 inches rectangle, brush with remaining butter. Combine brown sugar and cinnamon; sprinkle over dough to w/i 1/2 inches of edges.
  • Roll up jelly roll style starting with a long side; pinch seams to seal. Cut ea. into 16 slices. Place cut side down in 2 greased 13x9x2 inches baking dishes. Cover and let rise until doubled, 30 minute Bake at 350 degrees for 20-25 minute or until golden brown.
  • Meanwhile, in lg. saucepan, combine next 3 items. Bring to a boil; cook and stir for 2 minute Remove from heat. Beat in sugar with a hand mixer until creamy. Frost rolls. Serve warm.

  1. Ok, well I had some issues getting these made. First off, the instructions are less than what I would call "clear". Then I had to add 7+cups of flour just to get the dough even remotely cooperative. Added I'd say another 1/2 cup of flour on top of all that when I was kneading. With all of that said, the final result were some very good cinnamon rolls although I can't say I would go through all this again. I have another favorite zaar sweet dough that I use and will continue to use over this one. I do have to say that my DH liked these a lot. Sorry, it just didn't thrill me all the work involved in getting the dough to cooperate. I will however use the frosting on other things. That part of the whole recipe is 5 star. Made for PAC Spring 09. Oh, I also wanted to say that I made 12 cinnamon rolls out of this and then 6 very large blueberry danish.
