  • Put the first nine ingredients on to boil until the vegetables are just tender.
  • Do not overcook.
  • Melt margarine in a saucepan.
  • Add flour.
  • Gradually whisk in milk, allowing to thicken.
  • Add mustard, worcestershire and cheese.
  • Pour the saucepan mixture into the vegetable mixture and serve.
