- 1 cup white vinegar
- 1 cup water
directions
- Soak for 5-10 minutes.
- Rinse well.(Never soak mushrooms, they absorb water.).
- Just rinse well.

I use cider vinegar in this recipe, typically. Since I buy the majority of my produce at our farmers' market, washing everything down to remove any surface bacteria, etc noticeably extends the counter & fridge life of things. I also mist the inside of any bowls, baskets or other storage/display items I use for the produce w/ a 1 part cider vinegar to 2 parts water solution.
