The book and this server are assuming unbleached all-purpose flour are being using, but whole wheat, spelt, and white-wheat will probably work as well. The one I am posting is the most popularly and widely used variety because it's cheap, easy, and only takes one day opposed to weeks.”

  1. Sift the flour and yeast together, and add enough water to make it into a thick batter-- there's no exact measurement.
  2. Set it uncovered in a warm place for 24 hours.
  3. Once it's fermented for at least 1 full day, it's ready to be used in any bread, pancake, pizza, etc. recipes that call for using sourdough starter.
