Very Fudgy and Low Fat Brownies for Passover

"For some reason we are always very hungry on Passover, and we go through several batches of these brownies."

  • Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  • Lightly spray with Pam an 8" X 8" glass pan.
  • Mix first four ingredients together in mixing bowl.
  • Add the rest.
  • Bake 25-30 minutes.
  • Cut when cool.

  1. I have some matzo meal to use up and was looking for lunchbox additions, so I thought this might fit the bill. These are super easy to make and I like the nutritionals on them. It was hard to determine when they were done, and they were sort of sticky and soft. You could definitely taste the fruit in them. So these are not a traditional brownie for me, but a nice yet sticky snack cake type food. Thanks!
     
  2. I am trying out a few pre passover recipes as I have family from Israel coming in, these brownies were amazing!!! I followed the recipe exactly and they are really great!! I would suggest making them for a passover snack or dessert!! Bet'avon
     
  3. Unfortunately, these kind of come out gooey. The texture just wasn't there for us. Which is a shame because the flavour is great! I didn't think that you could make brownies with so few ingredients! I ended up using breadcrumbs instead of matzo meal which may have contributed to the texture facter. They were still eaten right up, so it can't be that bad!! ;-)
     
  4. Very nice. My small kids liked them. I altered the recipe because I had 2 old bananas on hand. I used only 1/2 cup sugar and two small bananas. They are very good.
     
  5. Great. Finally a "goodie" for Passover. Made it several times last Passover. Will certainly be making this again.
