- 1 1⁄2 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- 3 tablespoons cocoa
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 6 tablespoons oil
- 1 tablespoon vinegar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup cold water
directions
- Mix all dry ingredients in an 8x8 square baking dish with fork or wire whisk, then make 3 holes in mix.
- In first hole put the oil, in second hole put the vinegar and in the third hole put the vanilla.
- Pour the water over the whole mess.
- Mix well making sure to get the corners.
- Bake 25-30 minutes at 350.
- Double ingredients for 9x13; adjust baking time to 35-40 minutes.
- Test with toothpick for doneness.
