  • Combine 1 1/2 cups flour, sugar, salt and yeast in a large bowl and blend well.
  • Heat beer and oil together in a small sauce pan until warmed (110° F.).
  • Add to flour mixture.
  • Mix in eggs and blend at low speed until moistened, then beat 2 minutes at medium speed.
  • By hand, stir in walnuts and enough of the remaining flour to make a stiff batter.
  • Spoon into two well-greased 8"x4" loaf pans.
  • Cover loosely with greased plastic wrap.
  • Let rise in a warm place until doubled in size, about 30-40 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375°F.
  • Bake 20-30 minutes, or until golden brown.
  • Remove from pans immediately and cool on wire racks.
