  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Beat butter until creamy (hand or stand mixer).
  3. Mix in flour, sugar and salt until crumbly.
  4. With floured fingers, press 2 cups of the crumb mixture in bottom of a greased and floured 9x13 inch pan.
  5. Bake 10-12 minutes.
  6. Reserve remaining mixture.
  7. Melt 1 ½ cups chocolate chips and condensed sweetened milk over medium heat.
  8. Stir in vanilla.
  9. Spread mixture over hot crust.
  10. Stir walnuts and remaining ½ cup chocolate chips into reserved crumb mixture.
  11. Sprinkle crumb mixture over chocolate filling.
  12. Bake for 25-30 minutes or until center is set.
  13. Cool and cut into bars.
  14. Makes 24-36 bars depending on desired size.
  15. Store at room temperature.
