  1. This is excellent. I decreased amounts to make only 4 servings, & enjoyed while I was decorating my Christmas tree. I had to substitute regular apple juice, b/c I was out of cider, so I added a little more spice to make up for that. It was excellent, & even better WITH actual cider, I'm sure. *Hint: Run a pot of plain water thru your coffeepot after making this before you make coffee again. :) Thanks!

  2. This recipe is unique and easy becuase of use of the coffee pot. It worked slick and everyone at our Christmas party who wanted a warm, non-alcoholic drink liked it!

  3. Exactly what I was looking for. I've been nominated to be the wassail maker for our church choir. This recipe tasted great, and the use of the coffee pot is exactly what I needed. I started with 1 gal of apple cider and adjusted the rest of the quantities. And the use of 1/2 of a fifth of spiced rum was a wonderful addition.

  4. This is a wonderful wassail. Adults and children alike enjoyed it after the Thanksgiving Day parade.

I'm a real estate agent in the lovely city of Rochester, New York. That's not what I expected to do with my life. I got my bachelor's in psychology, my masters in literacy education, and I taught high school special education for two years. Then I discovered that helping people find the homes of their dreams was my real passion. I've been doing it for over two years now and still absolutely love my career. Other than that, I have a very spoiled Border Collie mix named Bear that I adopted from a local shelter in spring '08. He's gorgeous and fun and brings me great joy. Now if only I could find a man like that... LOL!
