"I think I made this recipe years ago, but lost the recipe, this looks so similar! I found this in my favourite paper The Weekly Times, and if it is, even close to the same recipe, then I will be really pleased! Problem is I am not sure of the servings or cooking time until I make them myself!"

  • Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, add the salt. Rub the butter through the flour until it resembles bread crumbs.
  • Stir in just enough water to make a firm dough.
  • Roll out on a lightly floured bench. Cut rounds using a small biscuit cutter.
  • Using a floured rolling pin, roll each round into thin ovals.
  • Place on to a greased, baking tray and prick them all over with a fork.
  • Bake in a 220C oven until puffed and golden.
