Directions

  1. Sift the flour and baking powder into a bowl, add the salt. Rub the butter through the flour until it resembles bread crumbs.
  2. Stir in just enough water to make a firm dough.
  3. Roll out on a lightly floured bench. Cut rounds using a small biscuit cutter.
  4. Using a floured rolling pin, roll each round into thin ovals.
  5. Place on to a greased, baking tray and prick them all over with a fork.
  6. Bake in a 220C oven until puffed and golden.
